Tree City USA/Trees Forever
The Village of Mackinaw is a proud member of Tree City USA we have maintained our status yearly since 2001. We are currently working on diversifying the trees in our parks and along our streets with new native trees to Illinois. Currently we are working on every 3-5 years planting new groups so that these trees can have varying ages and with a variety of trees this will allow for a differing stages of life spans for each tree.
