Camera Registration

As part of the Mackinaw Police Department's BlueCard Program, residents are encouraged to register their cameras with the Police Department using the form below. If a crime occurs in your neighborhood, officers may request to view camera footage from the time of occurrence and ask for a copy for investigative purposes. When you register your security cameras with the Police Department, your information is entered into a secure, private database. When a crime occurs, officers will check the database for nearby registered camera systems and contact homeowners who have their cameras registered to request footage.

By registering your cameras with the Mackinaw Police Department, you are under no obligation to provide footage. Officers may request footage to help with ongoing investigations. The Police Department will not have direct or remote access to your system, and will only have access to your system with your approval. Your information will be kept secure and will not be disclosed to the general public by our department.
