Service Applications, Water Rates & Policies
Listed below, you will find the Village of Mackinaw current water and sewer rates and policies. If you do not find the information you need, please contact our office and we will provide it for you.
The current water rates are $25.45 for the first 1,500 gallons used. $6.90 is charged for each 1,000 gallons used after 1,500.
The current sewer rates are $7.50 for each 1,000 gallons used.
Meters are read the 20th of each month by Village of Mackinaw Public Works employees. They take actual readings of the meters for billing. Bills are mailed the 1st of each month and are due on the 20th of the same month.
Bills reflect water and/or sewer usage from the previous month.
In order to begin water and/or sewer service at your residence you will need to complete the appropriate attached water and/or sewer service application. Once completed you will need to turn it in in person to Village Office and present a photo ID. No water and/or sewer service will be started unless this process has been completed. Starting February 10, 2015 all renters must pay a refundable $100 deposit for water and/or sewer service. Deposit will be refunded upon payment of final bill.
