Peddlers must obtain a permit from the Village Office between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday-Friday
A two-week notice with intent to peddle must be given so that background checks can be conducted on each peddler by the police department.
Peddlers who have been granted permits may solicit from 9:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m., Monday-Saturday. No soliciting on Sunday or any state or national holiday.
Each peddler must have in their possession their permit and upon request must present to homeowners.
The Village of Mackinaw does not allow energy companies to solicit in the village limits due to being under an electrical aggregation.
If any complaints are received the permit will be revoked and the peddler will be asked to leave.
If you have any questions regarding peddler requirements or active peddler permits please feel free to call the Village office or Tazewell County Non-Emergency Dispatch after normal business hours
